Greenspring Energy founder Paul Wittemann recently sought bankruptcy protection after accruing debts and unpaid taxes that almost reached $4 million, the Baltimore Sun reported on January 20.

The former president of the Maryland-based solar company reportedly filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in November. Wittemann listed his debts of nearly $3.928 million, while his assets totaled around $16,000. The bankruptcy filing also revealed that the company had unsettled debts to over 528 of their former clients. Though some of the customers filed a complaint against the solar company, there is a big chance that the debts will no longer be settled.
