Ambulance company shutdown affects six states

On Monday, December 9, the ambulance company, First Med EMS closed.
The ambulance service provider, First Med EMS suddenly halted emergency services without any notification. First Med served North Carolina, Kentucky, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and Ohio.
Employees said that they were informed that First Med EMS filed for bankruptcy, however no papers were forwarded to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Eastern District, N.C. The company was unreachable by phone and internet.
