Builder in Raleigh files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy

A builder in the Raleigh area filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina on July 22.

According to the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing by Dunn-based builder Springfield Homes LLC, the company has an estimated $1 – 10 million in liabilities and an estimated $10 – 50 million in assets. According to requirements set for businesses filing for bankruptcy, the company will be required to provide more accurate financial information soon.

The company attorney and its owner could not be reached for comment.
