A franchisee of a Golden Corral restaurant located in Clinton filed for bankruptcy on June 13, according to court documents.
According to the Chapter 7 filing by the Bouchard Family Corral LLC, the company has $590,000 in liabilities with no assets. Some of the company’s assets were reportedly grabbed by the restaurant’s landlord.
Golden Corral, which is based in Raleigh, has 52 restaurants across North Carolina, and almost 500 nationwide, where almost half of the restaurants are owned by the company and the others owned by franchisees.
