Real Housewives of NJ star files for bankruptcy

Danielle Staub, former star of Bravo’s Real Housewives of New Jersey, has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection, stating she has $1.9 million in liabilities and has only made $63,791 this year from celebrity appearances.
Staub has been trying to sell her Wayne, New Jersey mansion, the one featured on the first two seasons of the reality show, for about three years. NJ.com reports that the home’s original price has been slashed by 40 percent and is listed at $899,000.
According to the bankruptcy filing, Staub owes the IRS $111,161; $70,000 in taxes to the city of Wayne, and more than $5,000 to the New Jersey taxation department.
